ROSEBURG, Ore. — Ten people are dead after a gunman opened fire at an Oregon community college Thursday, Douglas County Sheriff John Hanlin said.Hanlin said the gunman is also dead. It isn’t clear whether the gunman is among the 10 people who died.

The sheriff said 7 additional people were wounded, three critically.

The shooting happened at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, about 180 miles south of Portland, in Douglas County.

Oregon Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum said earlier Thursday that at least 13 people had died in the shooting and another 20 were wounded, but ina news conference Thursday night Hanlin said the number of fatalities stood at 10. The sheriff acknowledged that there had been conflicting reports but that is the most accurate number they have at this time.

Hanlin declined to release the name of the shooter or any of the victims.

Law enforcement sources tell CBS News four guns — a combination of pistols and a rifle — were found at the scene of the shooting.

In a brief statement to reporters, Oregon Gov. Kate Brown described the gunman as a 20-year-old man.

“We are holding the community of Douglas County in our hearts today,” she said. Brown ordered flags at public institutions throughout the state lowered to half-staff.

Eighteen-year-old Kortney Moore of Rogue River tells the Roseburg News-Review newspaper that she was in a writing class when a shot came through a window.

She says the gunman entered her classroom, told people to get on the ground and then asked people to stand up and state their religion before opening fire.
Krys Denino, a mother of two and first-year nursing student at the college, was on campus when the shooting started.

She told CBSN by phone that she initially thought what she heard was from a construction project and didn’t realize the sounds were gunshots until she saw a young woman running toward her. She heard another gunshot and then started running to her car.

A photographer for the Roseburg News-Reviewnewspaper said he saw people being loaded into multiple ambulances and taken to the hospital.
The sheriff’s office reported on Twitter that it received a call about the shooting at 10:38 a.m.

Douglas County Sheriff John Hanlin said at a news conference Thursday afternoon that officers from around the county immediately responded to the college and upon arriving there, located the shooter in one of the buildings on campus.Hanlin said officers engaged the suspect and there was an exchange of gunfire and the shooter was “neutralized.” Officers then searched student’s backpacks for weapons and used dogs to check in the parking lot.

Lacey Gregory was just 100 yards away when the gunfire started. She told the “CBS Evening News” she saw people running.

“It was crazy,” she said.

CBS News correspondent Ben Tracy reportsauthorities believe shots were fired both inside Snyder Hall and the nearby science building on the campus of more than 100 acres. Students in the school tweeted as the shooting unfolded, one saying, “Students are running everywhere. Holy God.”

And then, “Scariest thing I’ve ever experienced.”

Sheriff Hanlin would not comment on the number of fatalities and said the investigation was “very active.”

According to Hanlin, the Oregon State Police, the FBI, the U.S. Marshals Service, and multiple local law enforcement agencies are assisting in the investigation.

Students and faculty members were being bused to the Douglas County Fairgrounds, the sheriff’s office said.A spokeswoman for the Oregon department that oversees community colleges in the state said she had not received any detailed information about the shooting.

“It’s extremely concerning and sad,” said Endi Hartigan, spokeswoman for the Oregon Higher Education Coordinating Commission.

The school has about 3,000 students. Its website was down Thursday. The university posted on Twitter that it would be closed until Monday.

Mercy Medical Center in Roseburg has at least 10patients. Their conditions were not available.

PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center in Springfield said it received three female patients between the ages of 18 and 34 via helicopter. Dr. Hans Notenboom of the emergency department said two of the patients went directly into the operating room.

The hospital later tweeted that two of the victims were in serious condition and one in critical.

Former Umpqua Community College (UCC) President Joe Olson, who retired in June after four years, said the school had no formal security staff, just one officer on a shift.

One of the biggest debates on campus last year was whether to post armed security officers on campus to respond to a shooting.

“I suspect this is going to start a discussion across the country about how community colleges prepare themselves for events like this,” he said.

Interim UCC President Rita Cavin said at a news conference that the school has a no guns on campus policy. CBS News correspondent Ben Tracy reports, however, that in Oregon, students with proper permits are allowed to carry guns on campus. Hours after the attack, a visibly angry President Barack Obama spoke to reporters, saing the U.S. is becoming numb to mass shootings and that their perpetrators have “sickness” in their minds.

“It cannot be this easy for somebody who wants to inflict harm on other people to get his or her hands on a gun,” Mr. Obama said. “We collectively are answerable to these families who lose their loved ones because of our inaction.”

Vice President Joe Biden echoed the president’s statements, saying the government needs to take action.

“My wife teaches at a community college,” Biden said. “It brings it home, every time something happens at a school. The safest place on Earth should be our schools and our colleges.”The rural town of Roseburg lies west of the Cascade Mountains in an area where the timber industry has struggled. In recent years, officials have tried to promote the region as a tourist destination for vineyards and outdoor activities.

According to Everytown for Gun Safety, a gun-control group founded by former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, 88 people are killed by gun violence in America each day. Since the December 2012 shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut,there have been at least 142 school shootings in America — an average of nearly one a week, the organization says.

Former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder on Thursday called on the nation to implement gun safety measures.

John Hanlin, the sheriff overseeing the investigation into the shooting in Oregon, has been vocal in opposing state and federal gun-control legislation. He registered his opposition this year as state lawmakers considered requiring background checks on private, person-to-person gun sales.

Hanlin told a legislative committee in March that a background-check mandate wouldn’t prevent criminals from getting firearms.

He said the state should combat gun violence by cracking down on convicted criminals found with guns, and by addressing people with unmanaged mental health issues.

Hanlin also sent a letter to Vice President Joe Biden in 2013, after the shooting in Newtown. Hanlin said he and his deputies would refuse to enforce new gun-control restrictions “offending the constitutional rights of my citizens.” Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said Thursday that it’s beyond her comprehension that “we are seeing these mass murders happen again and again and again.”

Clinton said that the nation needs to “get the political will to do everything we can to keep people safe.” She says there’s a way to have sensible gun control measures that keep firearms out of the wrong hands and save lives. The former secretary of state says she’s committed to doing everything she can to achieve that.

Another Kenyan athlete from the Rosa and Associati stable has been banned for four years after failing a drug test.

Jeruto becomes the first Kenyan to get a four-year ban under the new IAAF rules that came to effect in January. Long distance runner Josephine Jepkoech Jepkorir was handed a two-year ban. She failed the test after victory at the 2014 Corrida de Sao Silvestre race in Angola.

Two other Kenyans – Francisca Koki and Joyce Sakari – who doped in pre-competition test at the World Championships in Beijing in August, are awaiting their fate.

“We are still investigating Sakari and Koki and we should come with the results soon,” said AK chief executive officer Isaac Mwangi.

Jeruto, a training partner to 2013 women 800m World champion, Eunice Sum and 2007 Osaka Worlds 800m champion, Janeth Jepkosgei, failed an out-of-competition test on April 14 in Eldoret.

“The samples provided by the athlete revealed the presence of the prohibited substance Norandrosterone. In reference to IAAF Rule 40.2 (a) II A four (4) year period of ineligibility has been imposed on the athlete effective 20th May 2015 and will end on 19th May 2019,” said a statement from AK

Last year, Jeruto teamed up with Sum, Jepkosgei and Sylvia Chesebe to win silver medal in 4x800m Relay at the World Relay Championships. Jeruto, Sum and Jepkosgei, who are from Rosa and Associati, represented Kenya at the Commonwealth Games held last year in Glasgow, Scotland.

Jeruto fell in the first round, Jepkosgei at the semi-finals as Sum went on to win gold.

From Glasgow, Sum, Jepkosgei and Jeruto proceeded to Marrakech, Morocco for the 2014 Africa Championships where they swept all the podium places in that order.

Jeruto did not take part in this year’s World Relay in Bahamas and the World Championships in Beijing after failing to attend the local qualifying events. Rosa and Associati managers and coaches were in April his year banned for six months by Athletics Kenya pending investigations into doping allegations.

Addis Ababa – The number of hungry Ethiopians needing food aid has risen sharply due to poor rains and the El Nino weather phenomenon with around 7.5 million people now in need, aid officials said on Friday.

That number has nearly doubled since August, when the United Nations said 4.5 million were in need – with the UN now warning that without action some “15 million people will require food assistance” next year, more than inside war-torn Syria.

“Without a robust response supported by the international community, there is a high probability of a significant food insecurity and nutrition disaster,” the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, OCHA, said in a report.

The UN children’s agency, Unicef, warns over 300 000 children are severely malnourished.

The Famine Early Warning Systems Network (FEWS NET), which makes detailed technical assessments of hunger, predicted a harvest “well below average” in its latest report.

“Unusual livestock deaths continue to be reported,” FEWS NET said. “With smaller herds, few sellable livestock, and almost no income other than charcoal and firewood sales, households are unable to afford adequate quantities of food.”

Ethiopia, Africa’s second most populous nation, borders the Horn of Africa nation of Somalia, where some 855 000 people face need “life-saving assistance”, according to the UN, warning that 2.3 million more people there are “highly vulnerable”.

El Nino comes with a warming in sea surface temperatures in the equatorial Pacific, and can cause unusually heavy rains in some parts of the world and drought elsewhere.

Hardest-hit areas are Ethiopia’s eastern Afar and southern Somali regions, while water supplies are also unusually low in central and eastern Oromo region.

Sensitive issue

Food insecurity is a sensitive issue in Ethiopia, hit by famine in 1984-85 after extreme drought.

Today, Ethiopia’s government would rather its reputation was its near-double-digit economic growth and huge infrastructure investment – making the country one of Africa’s top-performing economies and a magnet for foreign investment.

Still, nearly 20 million Ethiopians live below the $1.25 poverty line set by the World Bank, with the poorest some of the most vulnerable to weather challenges.

Ethiopia’s government has mobilised $33m in emergency aid, but the UN says it needs $237m.

Minster for Information Redwan Hussein told reporters at a recent press conference that Ethiopia is doing what it can.

“The support from donor agencies has not yet arrived in time to let us cope with the increasing number of the needy population,” he said.

“ባላገሩ አይዶል ወደ ህይወቴ ከመጡ መልካም አጋጣሚዎች አንዱና ትልቁ ነው” የሚለው ተወዳዳሪው፤ “ደረጃና ሽልማት አስቤ ባለመግባቴ በዳኝነቱም ሆነ በውጤቱ ቅሬታ የለኝም፤ ባላገሩ አይዶል በፈጠረልኝ እውቅና የራሴን ስራ ሰርቼ ወደ ህዝቡ ለመቅረብ እጥራለሁ” ሲል ዕቅዱን ተናግሯል፡፡ “ባላገሩ አይዶል ወደ ህዝቡ ለመግባት ለስድስታችንም ሁኔታዎችን አቅልሎልናል፤ ይህን እድል መጠቀምና አለመጠቀም የእኛ ፋንታ ነው” ብሏል – ቢኒያም፡፡
የባላገሩ አይዶል የድምፅ ዳኛ አንጋፋው ድምፃዊ አረጋኸኝ ወራሽ ስለባላገሩ አይዶል ሲናገር፤ “ባላገሩ አይዶል በዚህች አገር የሙዚቃ ታሪክ ላይ የተለየና ጉልህ አሻራ ማሳረፍ የቻለ ትልቅ ፕሮግራም ነበር” በማለት አድናቆቱን ገልጿል፡፡ ባላገሩ በሁሉ ነገሩ የተለየ መሆኑን ሲገልፅም፡- ለምርጥ 25 ተወዳዳሪዎች በኩሪፍቱ የክህሎትና የዲስፒሊን ስልጠና መስጠቱ፣ በቁንጮ የሰራው አኒሜሽን፣ በከለር ካርዶች ውጤት እንዲሰጥ ማድረጉ፣ ከአልባሳት ጀምሮ ተወዳዳሪዎች ለሙያው ክብር እንዲኖራቸውና በራስ መተማመናቸው እንዲጐለብት መደረጉን ጠቃቅሷል፡፡
“በዚህ ሂደት ውስጥ ችሎታ ያላቸው 25 ምርጥ ባለሙያዎች ወደ ሙዚቃው ኢንዱስትሪ መቀላቀል ችለዋል” ያለው አረጋኸኝ፤ “ትውልዱ እድለኛ ነው፤ በእኛ ዘመን ድምፃዊያን ያላገኙት ሰፊ ዕድል ተፈጥሮለታል” ብሏል፡፡ “በውድድር ተሳታፊ ሆነው፣ ስልጠና ተመቻችቶላቸው፣ እውቅና አግኝተው፣ በመጨረሻም ተሸልመው ከመሄድ በላይ እድለኝነት የለም”፡፡ በባላገሩ አይዶል ያሳለፈውን የዳኝነት ጊዜ በተመለከተ ተጠይቆም፤ “እነዚህን የመሰሉ በስነ – ምግባር የታነፁ፣ ልዩ ችሎታና ብቃት ያላቸው፣ የሚያኮሩ ባለሙያዎች ባፈራው ባላገሩ አይዶል ላይ በዳኝነት እስከዚህ በመድረሴ ደስታም ኩራትም ይሰማኛል” ሲል መልሷል፡፡
በመጨረሻው የውድድር እለት በዳኞች ምዘና 1ኛ የወጣው ማን ነበር? በሚል ለቀረለበለት ጥያቄ፤ “በእኛ የዳኝነት ሂደት የሁለቱም (ዳዊት ፅጌና ኢሳያስ ታምራት) ነጥብ እኩል ነበር፤ ነገር ግን በተመልካች ድምጽና በታዛቢዎች ዳኝነት በጣም ጥቃቅን በሆነ ልዩነት አንደኛና ሁለተኛ ሆነዋል እንጂ… ሁለቱን እንዴት ማበላለጥ ይቻላል”፡፡
ሙዚቃ ሙያ ነው፤ መዳኘት ያለበት በባለሙያዎች እንጂ እንዴት በተመልካች ይሆናል፤ የተመልካች ድምፅ የግድ ነው ከተባለም እንዴት አብላጫውን ነጥብ (60%) ይይዛል? የሚል አስተያየት ከተለያዩ ወገኖች ይሰነዘራል፡፡ አረጋኸኝ በሰጠው የአንተ አስተያየት፤ “እኛ ስድስቱንም አንደኛ ማድረግ እንፈልግ ነበር፤ ነገር ግን ውድድር ስለሆነ እኛ በዳኝነት ብዙዎቹን እስከዚህ ድረስ አምጥተናል፤ ተመልካቹ በአሁን ሰዓት በሙዚቃ እውቀቱ የመጠቀ ስለሆነ በድምፁ መዳኘቱ ችግር ያለው አይመስለኝም” ብሏል፡፡
የባላገሩ አይዶል አዘጋጅና ዳይሬክተር አብርሃም ወልዴን ለማነጋገር ሞክረን ከህመሙ ጋር በተያያዘ ሳይሳካልን ቀርቷል፡፡ ከእኛ ቀደም ብሎ ለ”ታዲያስ አዲስ” በሰጠው አስተያየት፤ “ማሸነፍ ያለበት አሸንፏል፤ የኦዲየንሱም ድምፅ ወሳኝ ነበር፤ አንድ ሰው ሮል ሞዴል የሚሆነው በብዙ አስተያየቶችና ውጤቶች ጥርቅም ነው” ብሏል፡፡ የዳዊትንና የኢሳያስን የመጨረሻ ትንቅንቅ በተመለከተ ለቀረበለት ጥያቄም፤ “ኢሳያስ በጣም ብቃቱን አሳይቷል፤ ነገር ግን ሪስክም ወስዷል፤ ብቻ በእለቱ ማሸነፍ የነበረበት አሸንፏል፡፡ የዳዊት አንደኛ መውጣት ግን የሌሎቹን ብቃት ጥያቄ ውስጥ የሚከት አይደለም” ያለው አብርሃም፣ “እኔ የሚያሳስበኝ አሁን አንደኛ ሁለተኛ መሆናቸው ሳይሆን ወደፊታቸው ምን ይሆናል፤ ነገ ምን ላይ ደርሰው አያቸዋለሁ” የሚለው ነው ብሏል፡፡
በገጠመው የጤና እክል የፕሮግራሙ ፍፃሜ እሱ ባሰበውና ባቀደው መልኩ አለመካሄዱ ቁጭት እንደፈጠረበት የጠቆመው አብርሃም፤ ህዝቡ ያደረገውን አስተዋፅኦና ያሳየውን ፍቅር በቃላት ለመግለፅ እንደሚቸግረው ለ”ታዲያስ አዲስ” ተናግሯል፡፡ለ3 ዓመት የዘለቀው ባላገሩ አይዶል ተጠናቋል፡፡ ነገር ግን ባላገሩ አይዶል አይቀጥልም እየተባለ ነው፡፡ ፕሮግራሙ ከተቀዳጀው ስኬትና ካበረከተው አስተዋጽኦ አንፃር ቀጣይነቱ ጥያቄ ውስጥ መግባት ነበረበት ወይ? በሚል ለድምፃዊ አረጋኸኝ ወራሽ ላቀረብንለት ጥያቄ፤ “በእውነቱ ይሄን አዘጋጁን መጠየቅ ይቀላል፤ ነገር ግን እንደ ተመልካች ሆኜ ስናገር፣ ሁሉ ነገሩ ጥሩና ለየት ያለ በመሆኑ ቢቀጥል ደስ ይለኛል” ሲል አስተያየቱን ሰጥቷል፡፡ ባላገሩ አይዶል ይቀጥላል አይቀጥልም? ሌሎች ተጨማሪ 25 ወጣት ድምፃውያንን ያፈራል አያፈራም? ጊዜ መልሱን ይነግረናል፡፡

አንድም ተቃዋሚ ፓርቲ ወይም የግል ተወካይ የማይኖርበት 5ኛው የህዝብ ተወካዮች ም/ቤት የፊታችን ሰኞ የሚመሰረት ሲሆን ም/ቤቱ አማራጭ የፖሊሲ ሃሳቦችና የሰሉ ትችቶች የማይደመጡበት እንደሚሆን ተቃዋሚዎች ገለፁ፡፡

በፓርላማው የተቃዋሚ ፓርቲ ድምፅ አለመኖር ህዝቡን ይጐዳል ያሉት የመድረክ ሊቀመንበር ፕ/ር በየነ ጴጥሮስ፤ “ከዚህ ቀደም በፓርላማ በነበረን ጊዜ ያለመታከት የህዝብን ሰቆቃና እሮሮ ስናሰማ ነበር፤ አሁን ፓርላማው ከዚህ አይነቱ ጥያቄና አስተያየት ውጭ ነው” ብለዋል፡፡ በውጭም በሃገር ውስጥም ከማንኛውም መድረክ ይልቅ ተደማጭ የሚሆነው በፓርላማ የሚሰነዘር ሃሳብ ነው የሚሉት ፕ/ር በየነ፤ ይህ መድረክ አለመኖሩ ተቃዋሚው በሃገሩ ጉዳይ ያለውን ሃሳብ ህብረተሰቡ እንዳይረዳ እንቅፋት ይሆናል ብለዋል፡፡
ገዢው ፓርቲ እንደ ተምሳሌት ከሚከተለው የቻይና መንግሥት ጋር በዚህ ረገድ በሚገባ ተቀራርበዋል ያሉት ፕ/ሩ፤ ይህ ሁኔታ ግን ለኢትዮጵያ ህዝብ አደገኛ እንደሆነና የህዝብ እውነተኛ ድምፅ ሊታፈን እንደሚችል ተናግረዋል፡፡
የኢትዮጵያውያን ዲሞክራቲክ ፓርቲ (ኢዴፓ) ፕሬዚዳንት ዶ/ር ጫኔ ከበደ በበኩላቸው፤ “እስከዛሬ ከመንግሥት ጋር ተቀራርበን ለመስራት ያደረግነው ጥረት ውጤት አላስገኘም፣ ከዚህ በኋላ ትኩረት ሰጥተን የምንሰራው የስርዓት ለውጥ እንዴት መምጣት አለበት በሚለው ላይ ነው” ብለዋል፡፡
የመድብለ ፓርቲ ስርአት ፍፁም የደበዘዘበትና ህዝቡ ተስፋ የቆረጠበት ሁኔታ ነው የሚታየው የሚሉት ፕሬዚዳንቱ፤ ፓርላማውም ቢሆን የአንድን ፓርቲ አስተሳሰብ በቻ የሚያንፀባርቅ በመሆኑ ለመጪዎቹ 5 አመታት ከፓርላማው ለኢትዮጵያ ህዝብ የሚጠቅም ነገር ይገኛል ብለን አናምንም ብለዋል፡፡
በፓርላማው የህግና የፖሊሲ ክርክር አድርጐ ለውጥ ለማምጣት ገዢው ፓርቲ ፍላጐት የለውም የሚሉት ዶ/ር ጫኔ፤ ምናልባት ይህ አካሄድ የተቃዋሚ ሃሳቦችን ከመድረኩ የማጥፋት ስትራቴጂ ውጤት ሊሆን ይችላል ይላሉ፡፡
የመላ ኢትዮጵያውያን አንድነት ድርጅት (መኢአድ) ፕሬዚዳንት አቶ አበባው መሃሪ ደግሞ አዲስ የሚመሰረተው ፓርላማ ለሃገሪቱም ሆነ ለመንግስት አይበጅም ባይ ናቸው፡፡ ምክንያታቸውን ሲጠቅሱም፤ ፓርላማው ሁሉን አቀፍ አሳታፊ ባለመሆኑ ነው ይላሉ፡፡ “አሳታፊ ያልሆነ የህዝብ ተወካዮች ምክር ቤት ደግሞ በምንም መልኩ ውጤታማ ይሆናል የሚል እምነት የለኝም” ብለዋል አቶ አበባው፡፡
የተቃዋሚዎች ድምፅ በፓርላማ አለመኖሩ እምብዛም እንደማያሳስበው የሚገልፀው መንግሥት በበኩሉ፣ በሌላ መንገድ ከተቃዋሚዎች ጋር የተለያዩ የውይይት መድረኮችን በመክፈት በሃገራዊ ጉዳዮች ላይ ውይይት አደርጋለሁ ብሏል፡፡ በኢህአዴግ 10ኛ ጠቅላላ ጉባኤ ላይ መንግስታቸው ከተቃዋሚዎች ጋር በወሳኝ ሃገራዊ ጉዳዮች ላይ ለመምከር ዝግጁ እንደሆነ ጠቅላይ ሚኒስትር ኃይለማርያም ደሳለኝ መግለፃቸው ይታወሳል፡፡
ተቃዋሚዎች ግን በጠቅላይ ሚኒስትሩ ንግግር እምነት እንደሌላቸው ለአዲስ አድማስ ገልፀዋል፡፡
መድረክ በተደጋጋሚ ከገዢው ፓርቲ ጋር ለመወያየት ያቀረባቸው ጥያቄዎች ምላሽ አለማግኘታቸውን የሚያስታውሱት ፕ/ር በየነ፤ “የቀድሞ ጠቅላይ ሚኒስትር መለስ ዜናዊም እንደ ወቅቱ ጠቅላይ ሚኒስትር ኃይለማርያም ደሳለኝ ሁሉ ተቃዋሚዎችን እናወያያለን ሲሉ የነበረ ቢሆንም አንድም ቀን አላወያዩንም፤ አሁንም እናወያያለን የሚለው ሃሳብ የለጋሾችን ቀልብ ለመግዛት ካልሆነ በስተቀር ተግባራዊ የሚሆን አይደለም ብለዋል፡፡ እንዲያም ሆኖ መድረክ አሁንም ከመንግሥት ጋር ለመወያየት ጥረት እንደሚያደርግ ፕሮፌሰር በየነ ገልፀዋል፡፡ ፡
የኢዴፓ ፕሬዚዳንት ዶ/ር ጫኔ ከበደ በበኩላቸው፤ በየጊዜው ጠቅላይ ሚኒስትሩ ተቃዋሚዎችን እናወያያለን የሚሉት ፈፅሞ አምባገነናዊ ስርአት ነው ላለመባልና ዲሞክራሲያዊ ስርአት ያለ ለማስመሰል ነው ብለዋል፡፡ “አንድም ቀን መንግሥት ተቃዋሚ ፓርቲን አቅርቦ አወያይቶ አያውቅም፣ በየጊዜው እናወያያለን ቢልም ወደ ተግባር ሲቀየር አላየንም” ብለዋል ዶ/ር ጫኔ፡፡ ነገሩ ከፖለቲካና ዲፕሎማሲያዊ ንግግር የዘለለ አይደለም ባይ ናቸው፡፡
የመኢአድ ፕሬዚዳንት አቶ አበባው መሃሪም የሁለቱን ፖለቲከኞች ሃሳብ ይጋራሉ፡፡ መንግሥት በተደጋጋሚ ተቃዋሚዎችን አወያያለሁ ቢልም እስከዛሬ ሲፈጽመው አልታየም፤ ለወደፊትም ያነጋግረናል የሚል ተስፋ የለኝም ይላሉ፡፡ “በትክክል ዲሞክራሲን ለማስፈን የሚደረግ ጥረት ያለ አይመስለኝም፤ ተቃዋሚዎች ‘አባሎቻችን ላይ ወከባና ድብደባ ደረሰብን’ ሲሉ ጆሮ ዳቦ ልበስ እየተባሉ፣ መንግሥት በምን ጉዳይ አወያያለሁ እንደሚል አይገባኝም” ብለዋል፡፡
የህዝብ ውይይት እየተካሄደበት እንደሆነ በሚነገርለት 2ኛው የእድገትና ትራንስፎርሜሽን እቅድ ዙሪያ መንግሥት ተቃዋሚዎችን እንደሚያወያይ መግለፁ የሚታወቅ ሲሆን በቅርቡም ለሁሉም ፓርቲዎች በስልክ የውይይት ግብዣ ጥሪ መደረጉንና ተቃዋሚዎችም ጉዳዩ በደብዳቤ ተጠቅሶ ጥሪ ይቅረብልን የሚል ምላሽ መስጠታቸው ታውቋል፡፡ ይህን ተከትሎም በደብዳቤ ጥሪ ይደረግላችኋል እንደተባሉና የውይይት ጊዜው እንደተቀየረም ተቃዋሚዎቹ ለአዲስ አድማስ ገልፀዋል፡፡
